Have you heard about the immigration bill that is before congress? Among other things, it gives tax amnesty to illegals who have been working here. It also gives tax exempt status for several years to illegals after they have been identified.

I don’t know about you but the idea of allowing people entry into our country who have illegally crossed the border makes me a little bit loco! The only people who should be angrier are the immigrants who went through the trouble of becoming legal citizens. It would be like losing a job to a person who didn’t really attend college but had gotten a fake degree from a diploma mill in some third world back room while you foolishly blew $100,000 on a real university degree.

When you think about it, America is behaving like a cable TV company.  All the good deals are for “new” customers. If you’ve been with them for a while they treat you like shit.

You and I must pay taxes and social security costs and can’t get around our obligations to follow the rules. At least with my cable I can cancel and find a competitor to do business with.

I hear Canada has a pretty good introductory deal going on now, unlimited health care and considerably better beer.

I feel better now getting this off my chest, how about you?
